George Jessel

George has lived in Kent most of his life and is a ‘Man of Kent’. He farms just over 1,000 acres on the North Downs just outside Ashford. The farm comprises 200 acres of mixed woodland, a restaurant and an office hub of converted farm buildings. The arable enterprise consists of wheat and oilseed rape together with a beef and sheep enterprise. George is a Kent Ambassador and a Deputy Lieutenant of Kent and is passionate about all rural issues. He is an Honorary Life Governor of KCAS having served 6 years as Chairman. He is a Patron of Hadlow College, Governor of Hadlow Rural Community School and Chairman of the Wye Agricultural Museum. He is a Court Member of the Worshipful Company of Farmers, and Honorary Treasurer of the Farmers Club. His interests include game conservancy, skiing, photography and travel.
