Group Principal and CEO
Paul began lecturing in further and higher education in 1985 after completing his degree and PGCE in Business Studies. After working in positions at several South Eastern Colleges, he was appointed as Associate Principal of Hadlow College in 2000.
Paul became Principal of Hadlow College in 2005 and successfully managed the College though a period of significant change, culminating in a successful Ofsted Skills Inspection in 2005, which resulted in a ‘good’ grade follow by a further inspection in 2010 when the College was awarded ‘outstanding’ for all its provision. The College has also received ‘outstanding’ grades in 2009 and 2012 for its Ofsted Care Standards Inspection grades.
Over the last two years Paul has worked with the College Executive Team to take over the further education provision at West Kent and Ashford College (formally K College). The Hadlow Group was formed in 2014, which also includes Betteshanger Sustainable Parks and Hadlow Rural Community School.
Paul has been the elected Chair of Landex (Land Based College Aspiring to Excellence) and is still a Board Member. He is also a Board Member of AOSEC and Produced in Kent, and represents the College on numerous other committees including the University of Greenwich Principals’ Strategic Group, KAFEC Principals’ Group and Ofsted South East FE & Skills Stakeholders Board. He is also a Kent Ambassador, as well as a Governor of Hadlow Rural Community School.
