About the role
We are looking for a Lecturer in Plumbing to join our Business, Construction and Engineering team in response to the growing demand for our plumbing courses, requiring us to expand our provision.
As a Lecturer in Plumbing, you will work as a member of our experienced high performing team to deliver a co-ordinated, integrated learning programme ensuring that students receive a high quality learning experience and achieve success.
This post involves teaching Plumbing to students of all abilities and ages and will require experience in teaching or training to be able to teach on a range of courses, relevant to the curriculum area. These include City and Guilds level 1, level 2 and apprenticeships at intermediate and advance level.
The ideal candidate will have a Teaching Qualification, e.g. DTTLS, PGCE, Certificate of Education or equivalent, as well as an Assessors award, or the desire to achieve both. It is essential to have a Level 3 vocational qualification in Plumbing, Heating and Gas and a recent, relevant industrial and/or commercial experience. We are looking for applicants with Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications, or a willingness to achieve them.

On top of this, the College offers financial support when you complete Initial Teacher Training course via West Kent and Ashford College. You will receive £600 at the end of your first year of employment at the College as a fully qualified teacher and £750 at the end of the second year of employment.
