Travel and Tourism

The tourism sector needs people with good customer service and people skills, with plenty of opportunity for those people to progress quickly to management. With Kent being the ‘Garden of England’ and home to a number of tourist destinations and employers, it is a sector that employs around 55,000 people in Kent alone, is projected to grow by 7% by 2020 across all occupations and one of the priority areas for the South-East.

The knowledge and extensive industry experience that the tutors at West Kent College have within travel and tourism, means that you will learn in a variety of interesting ways and benefit from a range of integrated work placements and visits. All of this will equip you to succeed in what is an exciting and vibrant industry working companies such as travel operators, airlines and cruise ships, heritage sites and visitor attractions.
